Online Order Terms and Conditions

  1. Service provider

    This online booking service is provided by King Chi money exchange referred to as “King Chi” or “we” or “us” or “our”, registered office at Rm 08~11, 30/F, CEO Tower, 77 Wing Hong Street, Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR. We can also be contacted via email and telephone at info@kingchi.com.hk. and 2331-9180 respectively.

  2. Acceptance on terms and conditions

    By placing an order on our online order system, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.

  3. Use of service
    1. The Service is only available to individuals who have valid identification documents, a functioning Hong Kong-based mobile number, and have access to our website.
    2. It is within our rights to refuse service to any person for any reason. King Chi will not be liable for any cost, loss or damage incurred by you if we refuse to provide the service to you.
  4. Placing an Order
    1. Ordering Process: You must provide all information required for the online order, including but not limited to, your full name, telephone number, email address, your choice of branch for collection. By placing an order, you confirm that all information provided by you is correct in all respects.
    2. Currencies: The listed currencies are subject to change periodically.
    3. Maximum order limits without deposit:
      1. Non-members- the equivalent of a maximum value of HKD 20,000 per order; and
      2. Members- the equivalent of a maximum value of HKD 50,000 (in other currencies) per order.
    4. Order with deposit:
      1. Non-members- we only accept online orders up to the equivalent of HKD 20,000; and
      2. Member- there is no upper limit for online order. For online orders over the equivalent of HKD 50,000, a 20% deposit is required. A deposit can be made via i) bank transfer, ii) e-banking; or by paying cash at any of our branches.
      3. You must send a copy of the pay-in slip to our office for reference to confirm that the deposit has been paid.
    5. Order and collection time: There are 4 order and subsequent collection periods between Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
      1. 10am-12pm (exchange rate is confirmed immediately. The collection time is between 2:30pm and the closing time of the designated branch on the same day)
      2. 12pm-3:30pm (exchange rate is confirmed immediately. The collection time is between 5:15pm and the closing time of the designated branch on the same day)
      3. 3:30pm-5pm (exchange rate is confirmed immediately. The collection time is between 12:00nn to the closing time of the designated branch on the following day)
      4. 5pm- 10am next business day (also including Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays)- the online exchange rate is only for reference. The actual exchange rate would be confirmed by our staff via telephone according to the preferential list price on the next business day before 10am. Customers have the option to decide then if they would go ahead with the online order. Upon confirmation of order, collection on the same day after 2:30pm.

      Collection is only available during business hours at our branches between Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). No service on Saturday and Sunday.

    6. Collection date: The transaction must be completed on the nominated collection date.
    7. Collection branch: when you make an online booking application, you must select a designated branch where you want to collect the ordered sum. The available branches are listed on King Chi’s webpage. Please note that once you have placed your order, you cannot change the nominated branch for collection.
    8. Confirmation: SMS messages are used to confirm online booking orders.
    9. Payments: You are not required to pay for your order on the website. Payment could be made by online banking/bank transfer to our designated account, or by cash at collection when no deposit is required.
  5. Exchange Rates
    1. We make our best effort to update the most preferential rates on online order service, but they are subject to change from time to time.
  6. Collection of online order
    1. Collection can only be made by the applicant (the person who is named as the customer in the order) from the designated branch set out in the confirmation message. Collection is subject to the opening times of the branch. Details for the opening times and addresses of our branches are listed on the Website.
    2. At the time of collection, you must produce the following to us:
      1. the confirmation SMS for the online order; and
      2. identification documents:
        1. an Identity Card if you are a resident of Hong Kong or Macau SAR; or
        2. a passport
    3. In order to comply with our anti-money laundering and other legal obligations and our internal risk and fraud policies, we may request you to provide further information and identification documents (such as proof of residential address) and take a copy of your identification documents and other documents at the time of collection.
    4. You must pay for the order in full before we release the ordered sum to you at our branch. For payment at the branch, it must be made by cash.
  7. Your right to amend or cancel
    1. Cancellation: You may only cancel your order at any time prior to the nominated collection date by contacting our office set out in your confirmation SMS. Failing to do so, we reserve the rights to be reimbursed with any monetary loss.
    2. Order amendment: you cannot amend your order after it has been submitted to us.
  8. Complaints and compliance
    1. If you have any comments or complaints in respect of our Services, please contact us via email at info@kingchi.com.hk.
    2. You must comply with all laws and regulations binding on you, including complying with all obligations under, and not breaching, the anti-money laundering legislation or any other applicable laws.
  9. Termination

    King Chi may, in its absolute discretion, terminate any contract created by these Terms and Conditions between you and us for any reason at any time.

  10. Alteration of terms
    1. We may, at any time with immediate effect, change, suspend or withdraw the website, the service and these terms and conditions without notice and without liability to you.
    2. If we revise these terms and conditions, we will post the revised version on the website. You are expected to check our online terms and conditions from time to time to take notice of any changes we make.
  11. Personal information and security

    You must ensure that all information provided by you is true and correct, that any material information will not be withheld by you.

  12. Contact

    You authorise us to use the name, telephone number and membership number that you provide to us on the website to contact you at all reasonable times for necessary. For example, when we are unable to supply you with your requested currency or when we need to confirm the collection date.

  13. Law and jurisdiction

    The terms and conditions set here shall be governed by, construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong.
